Here is a peek at the work of New York artist Kirsten Hassenfeld, previously on view at Rice Gallery and Bellwether Gallery. Her enchanting sculptures, primarily made of paper, reconstruct precious objects on a large scale with mundane materials.

Monday, December 24th, 2007As Chris Natrop finds form in emptiness, Melbourne artist Kylie Stillman carves emptiness into form. Using a scalpel, she carves birds, trees, and other natural shapes through hundreds of pages of paper. The result is surprising and delicate.
