About me

Parsiri (the girl, not the blog)Hello. I’m Parsiri, the eponymous blogger behind the blog.

Raison d’être. I do this because it’s an outlet for my deep-down desire to make, show, and share all things pretty and witty. In addition to giving me a space to share my printable stationery designs with friends (and perhaps a wider audience), it’s a lot neater than cutting and pasting all of my favorite art and design finds into my moleskine.

So, a little about me. I’m Bangkok-born but Boston-bred, and a 2005 alum of Amherst College, where I studied economics and computer science and took advantage of the open curriculum to heavy up on art history courses on the side. Being unable to shake my northeast roots (despite the horrid winter weather), I today live and work in Boston at a digital advertising agency. I am mostly self-taught in art and graphic design, having always loved to draw and create - from the time I made paste-and-board picturebooks in elementary school, to art-directing my college art and literature publication, to today with this blog.

A few of my favorite things. Art and design (of course), design blogs, paper and stationery, First Fridays in the South End, binge-buying books, high-brow pictionary, discovering and downloading music, restaurants and recipes, dinner parties, ice cream, food blogs, sprezzatura, the Oxford comma, flowers (peonies, Fiji mums, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and cockscomb, in particular), wit, cheek, and snark.

Wanna talk? Email or Face message me. If you liked one of my stationery designs and gave it to a friend, I’d love to hear about it.

If you’re wondering… the guy up there is Michelangelo’s effigy of Lorenzo de’ Medici [grandson of il Magnifico], located in the Medici Chapel in Florence, Italy.

I also think it’s worth noting that in this photograph, I am waiting in line in front of Magnolia in Manhattan. For cupcakes. Of course.

Nice to meet you Parsiri - Somehow I landed here in your blogosphere during one of my never-ending quests for all things design and stationery……….Was nicely surprised that you are a Thai girl living in the States as I am inversely proportionate to you (well, almost) as a New Yorker now living in Bangkok. We seem to have lots in common………..Check out my design work here (everything is made in Thailand):
